Scholarship Warnings & Extra Credit Opportunity

All EOC review grades have been updated in grade portal.  Students with below an overall grade of 75% will be receiving scholarship warnings today (5/13, A-Day) and tomorrow (5/14, B-Day).  These scholarship warnings will be due back to me with a parent signature on Thursday (5/15, A-Day) and Friday (5/16, B-Day). 

The extra credit project below is an excellent opportunity for students in need of extra points to improve their grade.



SUPREME COURT JUSTICE – EXTRA CREDIT
WORTH 50 POINTS
DUE ON MAY 22nd (B-DAY) & MAY 23rd (A-DAY)

Directions:
  1. Research a Supreme Court Justice. Use the following website to help you in finding a justice, www.supremecourt.gov/about/members.aspx.
  2. Create a brochure about your Supreme Court Justice. Include the following information:
    1. About their life growing up
    2. Education
    3. President who appointed them
    4. When they served on the Supreme Court
    5. List an important case that came before the Supreme Court while a Justice.         
      1.  What were the main arguments of the case?
      2. What was the ruling?
  1. Your brochure should be put together in a threefold fashion. Brochure should be on white computer paper. Information should be in pen or typed. NO PENCIL! Information should be in your own words. NO COPYING and PASTING!!
  2. Your brochure should include at least 7 visuals. Visuals should pertain to the information.
  3. A bibliography must be with your assignment. You must tell me where you found your information and pictures.
REMINDER: This is an opportunity for students in need of points. You should take advantage of it and make it the best project you have done. It should not look like you put it together on the way to school.
