The Chapter 4 Test has been pushed back for B-Day classes. Instead of the original testing date of Monday, 11/4, the Chapter 4 test for B-Day students will be on Wednesday, 11/6. A-Day students will still take their test of the original date of Tuesday, 11/5.
Student's home learning assignment on Monday, 10/28 & Tuesday, 10/29 is a chapter 4 word splash activity. There are 10 vocabulary words on one side of the paper, and the word splash graphic organizer on the other. Students are required to fill the words on the back into the 10 boxes on the graphic organizer. From there, words are to be connected to each other based on a common relationship/concept. The explanation for the common relationship should be written on the line connecting the 2 words. For example, the Magna Carta can be connected to Limited Government because the Magna Carta established the idea of limited government. Each word should have at least 2 connections.
This assignment will be due on Wednesday, 10/30 (A-Day) & Thursday, 10/31 (B-Day). Students attending driftwood on these days will be required to turn in their assignment on Monday, 11/4 (B-Day) & Tuesday, 11/5 (A-Day).

Citizenship Project
CITIZENSHIP PROJECT REMINDERS
- The "epitaph" should be at least 1 page in length (Double spaced, 12 point font). It should also include a bibliography of at least 2 reliable sources (no wikipedia). Along with this, the guided question sheet should also be completed and ready to turn in.
- There has been some confusion as to what I am expecting concerning the "epitaph". It should be a 1 page paper (similar to an obituary), but it needs to focus on how your hero demonstrated good citizenship throughout their life. DO NOT write about the accomplishments unrelated to citizenship.
- A few students volunteered to bring in some finger foods, drinks, and cups/plates for the "tea party". I will bring in a few items myself, but don't forget if you signed up to bring something!
- Don't forget to dress up as your selected hero. Remember, I am not grading you based on how well you dress up. You do not need to go out and buy a costume. I'm only looking to see that you remembered the project and put some type of effort into role-playing your character.
- Due to the in-school football game on Tuesday, period 8B's project due date has been postponed to Thursday, 10/10.

Class Reminders
- The Chapter 3 Study Guide is being passed out on Tuesday, 10/1 (A-Day) & Wednesday, 10/2 (B-Day). It will be due the next class period on Thursday, 10/3 (A-Day) & Friday, 10/4 (B-Day). The questions are posted below if you misplaced your sheet or were absent.
- The Chapter 3 Test will be on Thursday, 10/3 (A-Day) & Friday, 10/4 (B-Day). Make use of your study guide!
- The famous citizen "Tea Party" will take place on Monday, 10/7 (A-Day) & Tuesday, 10/8 (B-Day). All students have chosen their citizen by now, and should be working on gathering research. This is a 100 point project, so make sure you complete all of the steps! (Refer to your project rubric)
