Congressional Powers Foldable Directions



CONGRESSIONAL POWERS FOLDABLE – 20 POINT ASSIGNMENT
CHAPTER 7, LESSON 2
1. Create a foldable with 3 tabs titled as the following: (2 POINTS)
1.       Expressed Powers
2.       Implied Powers
3.       Non-Legislative Powers
2. Under each tab, provide the following information:
1.       Definition of the type of power (3 POINTS)
a.       Example: Expressed Powers – Powers specifically given to Congress in the Constitution.
2.       Provide 4 examples of that type of power (5 POINTS)
a.      Example: The power to impeach federal officials (Non-Legislative Power)
3.       A visual to assist in remembering that type of power. (5 POINTS)
a.      Example: Picture of Congress spending tax money on schools, welfare programs, public housing, etc. (Implied Powers)
3.Label the back of the paper “Limits on Congressional Power” and write out 6 limits on Congressional Powers. (5 POINTS)
