Scholarship Warnings/Extra Credit Project

Grades will be updated over the weekend, and scholarship warnings will be passed out on Monday (11/23) & Tuesday (11/24).  These scholarship warnings go out to any student with below a 75% and are to be signed by a parent/guardian and returned after Thanksgiving break (12/1 and 12/2). Students that receive a scholarship warning will also receive a paper copy of the extra credit project shown below.  It is worth 50 points, and will be due on Tuesday, 12/1 (A-DAY) and Wednesday, 12/2 (B-DAY).

Any student that is absent when scholarship warnings/extra credit projects are passed out is still expected to check the blog and grades on Focus in order to take advantage of this opportunity if needed.

Chapter 6 Extra Credit Project
Directions: Choose one of the following to complete. Make sure to follow all steps. Your project must include a bibliography containing a minimum of 2 sources. Wikipedia is not a reliable source. Your bibliography must be in MLA format. (Use EasyBib.com for help on creating a bibliography of sources in MLA format)
1.    A mural is a large painting that represents something that is happening in our community or world by using only pictures. The pictures represent the message that someone is trying to get across. Choose 5 amendments you feel should go together. Using a standard sized poster board, create a mural of the 5 amendments you chose. Your pictures can be hand drawn, cut out of a magazine, or actual pictures you take (cannot be printed). You should have less than 5 words on your mural. Write a one page explanation of your mural (12 point font if typed). Include the 5 amendments you chose and why you think they go together.
