Classroom Reminders

• Chapter 5 Vocabulary will be accepted for full credit on Wednesday, 2/1, due to it not being posted on the blog over the weekend.  Those who turned it in on the original due date of Monday, 1/30, will receive extra credit.  The vocabulary words and directions are posted below.

• Don't forget that your Chapter 5 project will be due on Tuesday, February 7th.  You have 5 options to choose from, and remember to use at least 2 sources in MLA format. 

• Our National History Day research project is coming up.  I will hand out a timeline of all the due dates, as well as some support tips found in your ELA book with information on the research process (The timeline will be uploaded to the blog soon).  This year's NHD theme will be based on Black History month, so I've provided 6 options of famous African-Americans to choose from.  You may choose Jackie Robinson, Billie Holiday, Sidney Poitier, Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, or Maya Angelou.  Further information on the NHD process can be found using JLCP's website. http://www.duvalschools.org/landon/6th_grade.htm
