Chapter 5 Extra Credit Project

Directions:  All projects must be turned in on time.  Remember, you must include a bibliography in MLA format. Students must use at least 2 sources (this does not include pictures).

Research information on the Constitutional Convention. Create a poster board displaying the reasons leading to the convention, information on the delegates in attendance, and the decisions that were made. Each topic must include a visual and a description (descriptions should be at least 8 sentences). You must also create an invitation that would have been sent out to the delegates.  This invitation should inform it’s recipients of the reasons for the meeting and provide factual evidence in order to persuade them to attend.  Information for both the poster board and invitation must be typed or written in pen.

** Any project that is found to be plagiarized (directly copied from a website, book, or another student) will automatically be given a zero and a referral will be written. Student will not be given the opportunity to recycle the grade.***

Points	Title	Description
25	Bibliography	Bibliography is included with the project. At least two sources are used.  Sources are in MLA format. Sources are identified how they are used. Bibliography is written in pen or typed.
25	Content	Content is accurate and correct.  Content pertains to the time period that is being studied. Content is put into student’s own words.  Content is either typed or written in pen.
25	Organization/Presentation	Project is put together as specified in directions. Project is neat and free of errors.  Project is easy to understand.
25	Visuals	Visuals are accurate.  Visuals pertain to the time period. Visuals pertain to the project.  Visuals are clear and easy to see.
