Class Update

• All classes received a graphic organizer assignment on Thursday (1/23, A-Day) & Friday (1/24, B-Day).  This assignment is worth 20 points and will be due no later than Monday (1/27, A-Day) & Tuesday (1/28, B-Day).  The directions for the assignment are posted below.  Remember, there is NO LATE WORK FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR
• FROM BILL TO LAW GRAPHIC ORGANIZER
  Once you are finished with the 8 steps of how a bill becomes a law, create your OWN graphic organizer on the back.  Write out the 8 steps in order and provide a visual to assist you in remembering each step.  You are welcome to be as creative as you would like in how your graphic organizer will look.  For example, you can simply draw 8 boxes with arrows pointing from each step to the next, or it can resemble an elaborate board game.  Whatever you choose, make sure it has all of the necessary requirements listed below.
  Each step is correctly written out in the correct order – 10 POINTS
  Visuals are provided for each step – 5 POINTS
  Assignment should be neat and show evidence of an effort – 5 POINTS

• There will be a test on the Legislative branch, basic powers of each branch, checks & balances, and how a bill becomes a law on Wednesday, 1/29 (A-Day) & Thursday, 1/30 (B-Day).  Students will receive review questions to help them study on Monday, 1/27 (A-Day) & Tuesday, 1/28 (B-Day).  The test will be 30 multiple choice questions and will be worth 60 points.  Students that score below 80% will have an opportunity to recycle.
