Helpful Hints
Email is the quickest
method of communication for me.
Students should be
writing homework down in their agendas daily.
Check the blogs DAILY
for any updates.
Grade Portal is a
wonderful tool for keeping track of your student’s progress.
Supplies Needed
-Tissues
-Copy paper
-Pencils
-Colored Pencils/Crayons/Markers
How to access the
Online Book
Link on the right of
my blog.
Each student should
have already registered and received their username and password. I do not have a master list, so they will
need to make sure to write it down in their planner.
Classwork/Home
Learning and Projects
All work
is due on the original due date.
Late
homework will only be accepted during the 1st and 2nd quarter
for up to 50% credit. It must be turned
in within 3 school days of the original due date.
No late
homework will be accepted during the 3rd and 4th quarter.
Interactive Civics
Notebook
Each student should
have a notebook that will include
◦Bellringers/Exit
Slips
◦Notes
◦Activities (Back Pages)
Interactive notebook
checks will occur every test to monitor class progress and organization.
Make Up Work
Students will have
the same amount of days absent to make up work in the case of an excused
absence.
Students are
responsible to go to the make-up bin in the back of the classroom when they get
back in class to find out what they missed.
Extra Credit
Most class projects
will provide students with an opportunity to choose from a variety of options
that most interest them.
Should a student be
in need of extra credit, they can complete 2 of the project options for extra
credit. The extra credit project will be worth half the amount of points as the original project (Extra credit project must be
turned in on due date)
There will also be
occasional “blog-only” extra credit opportunities for students that keep up
with the blog regularly.
NHD, EOC, & Other
Acronyms
NHD (National History
Day) projects are not required for the 7th grade.
We will have a STATE
EOC (End of Course) exam instead of a district EOC. It will count as 30% of the student’s final
grade.
